Calling local projects and organisations in Islington! Is your local project going above and beyond what you are funded to deliver? Would extra resources help you offer even better, more integrated support to meet residents’ needs as a whole? If so, Islington Giving’s 2025 Community Panel wants to hear from you!
Made up of residents of diverse ages, backgrounds and life experiences, the Community Panel is interested in hearing how they may be able to provide additional support for your project.

The Funding Call
“We are a group of nine Islington residents aged 18 to 70+ who have come together to discuss what is important to local people and to develop this call, to invite local organisations to apply for funding to address some of the things we think are important.” ~ Islington Giving’s 2025 Community Panel
This funding call has been designed by Islington residents who identified that local people with interconnected needs, who are often the most isolated, require more integrated support and better access to information, including outreach, to access what is available. They have agreed the following priorities to enhance what is already working well and to further improve access – both in terms of direct support and better information about complimentary services on offer.
- Providing access to a range of services at a single location
- Providing a local/hyper-local presence
- Providing up-to-date and accessible information about other services available locally, with effective referral and signposting
- Providing hope and a spark
Projects can be open to everyone or tailored to a particular group of residents such as young or older people, men/boys, disabled people and people who face language barriers. If open to everyone, projects must specifically demonstrate how they are accessible for people who may otherwise be at greater risk of societal isolation for example, disabled people or those with additional needs.

Essential Criteria:
In addition to meeting the above priorities, projects MUST:
- be delivered in Islington with the majority of beneficiaries Islington residents
- be delivered at locations that offer a range of support
- be able to demonstrate excellent partnership working and ability to connect to and work with other support services offered locally
- be free or very low cost
- be inclusive and accessible for disabled people
- have robust safeguarding policies and procedures in place
- be well publicised

Timeline
- Application forms should be submitted by 12:00pm on Monday 8th September 2025.
- Shortlisted applicants may be invited for a further assessment meeting or receive requests for further information between 7th-16th October.
- Applicants will be informed of decisions to award grants by 31st October 2025.

The total budget for this funding call is £150,000. Please be aware that we consistently receive far more applications than we can fund. We hope to fund projects of different scope and scale and welcome applications for smaller projects. Funding can be for one year or multiyear (up to a maximum of three years) but the maximum grant – whether for one or more years – is likely to be around £25,000. For example, if over 2 years the maximum grant would be up to £12,500 per year.
