What is Angel Crackers?
Angel Crackers is a festive community project raising vital funds for grassroots organisations that bring connection, joy, and practical support to vulnerable residents in Islington.
Loneliness is a growing crisis in Islington, one of the most unequal boroughs in the UK, with some of the highest levels of poverty and mental ill health in the country. With rising costs, grassroots organisations supporting our most vulnerable neighbours are also under unprecedented strain.
For a suggested donation of ÂŁ5 per cracker, supporters help fund activities such as safe spaces for isolated people in our community, inclusive food co-ops bringing people together, and accessible safe storage spaces and practical support for those experiencing homelessness.

The project is a collaboration between Islington Giving, Angel Islington BID, and the Business Design Centre, sponsored this year by Bolt Burdon Solicitors.
Each cracker is handmade by local volunteers, and there are Golden Tickets hidden inside offering prizes from local businesses, Spring Valley Coffee, Flight Club, Stretch Life, Loom and Things, Compane, Sirplus, Jams Catering, Sticks’n’Sushi, and Kings Head Theatre.
