Walk the Line With Islington Giving – until the end of October

Get to know your local area, somewhere new, or challenge yourself to see the whole borough this summer!

With ‘Walk the Line’ you can get fit, raise money or just have fun walking Islington’s border. The route covers the whole borough boundary and is the length of a half marathon (12.98 miles). We have divided it into four sections, covering North, South, East and West, so you can take it slowly in sections or see how quickly you can make it in one go.

You can stroll it, run it or cycle it, but more than that you can use it as a way to see parts of your local area you’ve never seen before while supporting the Islington Giving Covid-19 Crisis Fund.

Please note that Parkland Walk, which is part of the North route, is not wheelchair-accessible and there are steps  to/from Canal Walk on the East route.

During the Covid-19 crisis, thanks to incredible generosity of local people and businesses we have raised and given out nearly £400,000 to 30 local organisations.  As we move from crisis into the first steps of recovery, we need even more support to help those who are still in need – people who are isolated, financially insecure of struggling mentally.
