With ‘Walk the Line’ you can get fit, raise money or just have fun walking Islington’s border. The route covers the whole borough boundary and is the length of a half marathon (12.98 miles). We have divided it into four sections, covering North, South, East and West, so you can take it slowly in sections or see how quickly you can make it in one go.
You can stroll it, run it or cycle it, but more than that you can use it as a way to see parts of your local area you’ve never seen before while supporting the Islington Giving Covid-19 Crisis Fund.
During the Covid-19 crisis, thanks to incredible generosity of local people and businesses we have raised and given out nearly £400,000 to 30 local organisations. As we move from crisis into the first steps of recovery, we need even more support to help those who are still in need – people who are isolated, financially insecure of struggling mentally.
We have teamed up with a number of independent businesses to provide refreshments along the way!
This friendly neighbourhood cafe on Darmouth Park Hill will offer our walkers/runners/cyclists a free hot or cold drink when you pop in.
A lovely pizza restaurant & wine shop in De Beauvoir Town offers a free coffee or a half-priced ice-cream to energise our walkers/runners/cyclists.
Get a free cold drink while you browse this fun gift and card shop on Camden Passage.
