About the Islington Giving and Macquarie partnershipÂ
Over ten years ago, Macquarie Group established its European head office in the London Borough of Islington. This move sparked a transformative partnership with Islington Giving, aimed at addressing local needs through targeted support and innovative initiatives. Together, we have created a blueprint for how companies and non-profits can forge lasting, impactful relationships.
Key achievements
Since 2012, our partnership has:
- Launched the BIG Alliance: Alongside the East London Business Alliance, we mobilised corporate volunteers to provide targeted support across Islington.
- Engaged Nearly 12,500 Volunteers: Including 440 from Macquarie, contributing their time and expertise to various projects.
- Supported Over 1,500 Students: Many of whom secured their first jobs upon leaving school.
- Secured Contributions from 90 Other Businesses: Engaging them in volunteering and funding efforts.
- Received Over £1.5 Million in Donations from Macquarie: Supporting expansion and innovation within the community.
