Just released: CoRe programme report 2019

The CoRe Programme matches the skills and experience of employee volunteers with the needs of Islington community organisations.

Our partners the BIG (Businesses for Islington Giving) Alliance just released the latest CoRe (Community Resourcing) report, which is their most detailed report to date.

The report provides key insights and case studies into skills-based volunteering at its best, all made possible by Macquarie and Slaughter and May’s commitment to supporting the local community.

The CoRe Programme matches the skills and experience of employee volunteers with the needs of Islington community organisations.

Volunteer learning and development

When asked if they had achieved their initial aims and what their reasons were for joining the CoRe programme, volunteers fed back that they achieved (or achieved in part) the following:

• To have a positive impact on a charity/ the community

• To do something rewarding and give back to the community

• To represent their organisation in a positive way

• To use or develop their work-related skills outside of my day to day role

• To meet new people, broaden their network, and work with employees from a different work area to their own

• To learn or develop new skills
