More money to build up skills and experience of local young people

After months of hard work, Islington Giving’s Young Grant Makers have made their final funding decisions!

Between March and July this year10 young Islington residents met regularly as part of our Young Grant Makers programmemaking a difference to the lives of their neighbours, classmates, and colleagues.

Thanks to support from the National Lottery Community Fund, Children in Need and  your donations to the Children and Young People’s Appeal, this year’s budget to invest in Islington based projects supporting young people was £84,000. Throughout the four months, Young Grant Makers  met inspiring local people and charities, discussed their options, and made decisions that will help young people across the borough to thrive in these difficult times.
