Kate Vandenburg joined the Business Design Centre (BDC London) fifteen years ago, where her career seen her roles develop across almost every department, before she joined the BDC Board in 2018. Most recently she completed her three year tenure as the chair of the AEV’s Marketing and Communications Group. Kate also heads up company initiatives that include independent research and customer experience and has been responsible for policy development across areas such as sustainability, data protection and privacy. More recently her role has seen her deliver the company’s ESG strategy, its roadmap to net-zero and work on its B Corp assessment. Additional positions held by Kate include that as a trustee of the BDC’s charitable arm, the Morris Charitable Trust, supporting the work of Islington based charity Local Village Network, and sitting on the board at Islington Giving. Building relationships with the local community and supporting philanthropic activities at the venue has long been a passion of Kate’s and a key part of her role.
