Sarah Lee joined the Board of Governors in October 2020. Sarah sits on the Islington Giving Board and is the Chair of Cripplegate Foundation.
Sarah is a local resident and has been working with the Islington-based international law firm Slaughter and May since 1993. (Slaughter and May is also one of Islington Giving’s BIG Alliance members.) Sarah was a Partner and, until recently, was the Head of Disputes and Investigations Group and has been the partner with overall responsibility for Diversity and Inclusion and Graduate Recruitment.
Her many voluntary roles have included: Trustee and Director of the Board of the Royal Courts of Justice and Islington Citizens Advice Bureau; and a Member of Pilotlight, a charity which teams business leaders with charities to support them with strategic planning. Sarah has also received external recognition and was named in the 2016 Upstanding 100 Leading Ethnic Minority Executives List, and the 2017, 2018 and 2019 EMpower 100 Ethnic Minorities Role Model List, featured in the Financial Times.
