Last winter we opened a ‘Homeless Catalyst Fund’ in partnership with Islington Council, to provide small grants to people living on the streets, or who had a recent history of rough sleeping in Islington.
Thanks to your generous donations, support workers were able to arrange a day trip to the coast for people living in temporary accommodation.
The money has also gone towards supporting two Europeans living in the UK for a long time. They were able to obtain their ID to apply for the European Settled status scheme, opening up housing options.
Other plans for the new year include organising driving lessons and carpentry workshops.
This funding helps to create opportunities, experiences and positive connections with others. People need more than a roof and this funding allows to support people have experiences they otherwise are unlikely to have.
