Supporting inclusion across Islington: The Disability Fund is back!

We’re pleased to announce Islington Giving’s relaunched Disability Fund, designed to help Islington organisations become more inclusive and ensure people with disabilities can fully take part in arts, culture, sport, and community activities across the borough.

With small grants of up to £3,000, the fund supports organisations to identify and remove barriers that may prevent people with disabilities from accessing their services. Whether it’s funding a support worker, providing staff training, recruiting a disability advisor, or updating communications to show that your services are open to all, the Disability Fund can help make your organisation more accessible.

In some cases, the fund may also support small-scale physical access improvements or building adaptations. If this applies, we encourage you to get in touch with us before applying.

We welcome applications from organisations that work with people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, or mental health. Priority will be given to groups with an existing relationship with Islington Giving or Cripplegate, but new organisations are very welcome to get in touch to discuss applying.

How to apply

Please read the guidance before applying, then submit your application via our Google Form or Word application form.

If you’d like to chat about your ideas or have any questions, our Programme team is happy to help. Contact us at 020 7288 6942 or grants@cripplegate.org.uk.

Together, we can make Islington a more inclusive place for everyone.
