A new fund to support community organisations in Islington to consider their impact on the environment.
The deadline for applications is 12 noon on Monday 17th January 2022.
With the increasingly urgent focus on climate change and the impact we all have on the environment, we have launched this new fund to support community organisations in Islington to develop, enact and evaluate a greener approach to carrying out their day-to-day activities. Thanks to the support of a private benefactor, this is a new initiative for Islington Giving and the first time we have created a fund focused on climate change.
The Going Greener Fund will provide small grants of £500- £5,000 which organisations can use in a range of ways, either employing tried and tested approaches or piloting experimental approaches to operate in more environmentally friendly ways. Successful projects will have a focus on action and encouraging behaviour change rather than awareness raising alone.
