We were excited to begin a series of outreach sessions with Islington’s older residents as part of this year’s Golden Grant Makers resident-led grant programme.
In the first session, held with Age UK at the Cally Clock Tower Centre, we talked about what the members loved about Islington, what they thought could be improved, and what their priorities were for making Islington a better place for our older residents.
We are looking forward to talking to more residents at sessions over the coming weeks, before bringing together a panel of older residents to make final decisions on how the £120,000 of available funding should be distributed.
