Roshana who is 15 and has scoliosis, wanted to help others with the same condition by putting together care packages for young Islington residents who are in hospital or about to have surgery.
With the Make it Happen grant she received in round 4, Roshana donated over 35 care packages. The packages proved to be very popular and were in high demand.
Roshana has also set up a WhatsApp group to provide a space for young people to connect and support each other and a website for people to access information on the condition and apply for her care packages.
Roshana won an award from Black Girl Fest for all her hard work and efforts and is a fantastic example of what can happen when someone receives funding to bring an idea to life.
