We are thrilled to share that, thanks to the generosity of our incredible community, we’ve raised a total of £25,914 through our Winter Appeal, including £8,334 from Angel Crackers!
This means more connection, more support, and more joy for those in Islington facing loneliness and isolation. 100% of funds raised will go directly to grassroots groups and organisations offering vital points of connection, helping to ensure that nobody in our community feels alone.
A whole-community effort
None of this would have been possible without our brilliant partners on the Angel Crackers project: Angel BID, Angel Central, Business Design Centre and Tishman Speyer, the 80+ volunteers from local businesses and organisations who rolled up their sleeves to handmake Angel Crackers, as well as the fantastic stockists and event partners who helped raise funds.

Why this matters
Severe loneliness disproportionately affects those already facing disadvantages, and Islington has some of the highest levels of poverty and mental ill health in the country. By coming together, we’re helping to fund local projects that provide connection, community, and hope. Your support has already started making an impact locally, and we can’t wait to share more updates over the coming months.
