The Make it Happen Fund is now open!

Chelsea Fringe Dog Show 4
Chelsea Fringe Dog Show, 2022

Do you have an idea for a project that could benefit your community? If so, the Make It Happen Fund, is for you.

The Make it Happen Fund: This fund is the result of a partnership of Islington Giving and local housing associations. Islington Giving, Peabody Community Foundation, Newlon Housing Trust, Southern Housing GroupHyde Housing and Clarion Futures have come together to create The Make It Happen Fund.

The funding programme, launched in 2021, offers grants of up to £500 to support local ideas that benefit the community across Islington. Grants are given to residents whose project ideas help contribute towards happier, healthier and more connected communities, providing residents with opportunities to come together to build a greater sense of belonging.

“Make it Happen literally saved our flower beds! Without the water trucks and hoses, the hottest and driest summer on record would have resulted in many of the plants and bushes dying.”

~ Myddleton Square Gardening Group

Make It Happen grants have brought into life many inspiring ideas in Islington, such as women’s dance classes, football sessions, activities for refugees new to Islington, communnal gardening projects, Queen’s Jubilee celebrations, neighbourhood dog shows and street parties, just to mention a few.
